GeM-Consult has been providing business consulting services since 2000, initially in Germany and the United Kingdom and now in New Zealand.

We have drawn from our wide experience in finance, logistics, command, risk management and IT to offer a Business Continuity Management (BCM) service. This is pragmatically focussed on the needs of small to medium businesses, primarily in the Bay of Plenty.

The discipline of BCM rationalises the risk awareness that most business owners are already aware of and may be intuitively addressing to some degree or other. In a structured way, BCM identifies and prioritises the many and varied risks that your business has to contend with, plans responses and then prepare you to execute those protective and recovery action plans. Business risk ranges from financial and contractual exposure, through operational weaknesses to external events such as fire and flood. The basis of our approach is to help you manage business risks and so make your business more resilient.

By the way, what we are offering is different from the classic ‘lend me your watch and I’ll tell you the time’ sort of consulting. What we can pass on to you is many years of experience with identifying and solving operational, financial and process problems in both commerce and the armed forces. As we are local, we are also aware that Bay of Plenty SME’s have considerable budgetary constraints in this current business climate so we do offer attractive rates for our work.
